They Might Be Giants and Moon Hooch at Turner Hall Ballroom
Never underestimate the power of Johns Flansburgh and Linnell. As the perennial geek-rock favorites They Might Be Giants, the duo has been poking at polka-punk, accordion jams, and nerdy pop nuggets for almost 30 years. Linnell and Flansburgh have kept more than busy in the past decade, cranking out albums both for children (Here Come The ABCs, Here Come The 123s) and regular folks, including 2011’s excellent Join Us and the new Nanobots, which both harken back to the band’s giddy glory days. Then, of course, there are classics like “Put Your Hand Inside The Puppet Head,” “Ana Ng,” “Birdhouse In Your Soul,” and many, many more.
