Cowboy Mouth and MIGGS at The Northern Lights Theater At Potawatomi Bingo Casino
Like its contemporaries and former tourmates Hootie And The Blowfish and Barenaked Ladies, Cowboy Mouth creates the same smart-ass, sports-bar rock that peaked on a mid-’90s VH1. The band features former Dash Rip Rock singer and drummer Fred LeBlanc, but the roots-pop group has had a tough time capturing the success of LeBlanc’s modestly popular former band. Still, Cowboy Mouth’s sound is plenty likable, and with Americana-style roots music continuing to find an audience, hits could still await—though releases in recent years like 2012’s This Train... have yet to yield a follow-up single to 1996’s “Jenny Says.” And despite seeing a half-dozen members come and go, Cowboy Mouth has remained on the road for most of its two decade-old lifespan.
