Anthony Bourdain at Riverside Theater
The host of No Reservations comes to town Jan. 22
“Bad boy” and “world-renowned French chef” aren’t two descriptions usually seen together, but then again, Anthony Bourdain isn’t your typical food designer. The Kitchen Confidential: Adventures In The Culinary Underbelly author is known for smoking like a chimney, drinking like a fish, and swearing like a sailor, and he’s also more than willing to talk about his past affairs with heroin and coke. But more importantly, he’s in love with preparing, eating, and talking about food, and he’s traveled the globe to find the world’s best oddities: Bourdain has indulged in everything from sheep testicles in Iceland to ant eggs in Mexico to a cobra in Vietnam. The New York City chef and star of the Travel Channel’s No Reservations will visit Jan. 22 at Riverside Theater to share his thoughts on food, traveling, and writing and answer questions from the audience. Tickets are $35.50-$49.50 and go on sale at noon Nov. 6.
